PICTURE OF AN ACTIVE CLUB

The Jaguar Club Geneva was founded in june 1985 by a few jaguar enthousiasts, coming from all types of social
cultural or geographical milieus. Since then, even though the JCG has expanded by welcoming new members
from Geneva, of course, but also from others Cantons, as well as France and UK, it's original caracteristics
have remained.

The main objective of the club is to preserve, maintain and perpetuate the tradition of the Jaguar brand;
doing so in a festive way.

Activities

The Jaguar Club Geneva organises:

A montly dinner, usually the last Thursday of the month. This is the occasion to share information about our favorite subject, but mainly a moment of conviviality greatly appreciated by all members and also by their companions/spouses.
A one day family rally, based on navigational abilities. A great moment for the co-pilots !

The club's presence at the traditional British car Meeting the first week of October, in Morges (in 2003 about 1'000 cars were present).
Two club excursions, one in May, the other in September, of 4 days each. Some examples of such excursions are: a visit to coventry, museum of Beaulieu, Muriaux, Mulhouse, Mougins, Reims, a visit of the Alps of Haute-provence, the Swiss National parc, the Swiss Alps, a vist of the Aoste valley, and many more. Not to mention, of course, vineyards, museums of arts and good restaurants on the way...
The general assembly, in june, and the year-end dinner, in December.

Whenever possible, the Club uses the opportunity, to join events organised by other clubs or organisations.
Certain international events are also opportunities for the club, who already organised in Geneva two large meetings with Jaguar coming from all over the world. The last one occured in 2001 with more than 200 cars to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the presentation of the E-type to the world during the Geneva car show.

Certains événements d'ampleur internationale sot aussi des motifs d'engagement de la part du Jaguar Club Genève qui a déjà organisé à Genève deux très grands rassemblements de Jaguar venant du monde entier; le dernier en date fut la commémoration de la naissance de la E type qui rassembla quelque 200 voitures dans la ville de Calvin en 1991!

Members

As mentioned earlier, the JCG has members from a variety of horizons. Many friendships have started here, as the Jaguar enthousiasts share the same interests for arts and beauty: more than just a fast and confortable car, the members of the JCG consider their Jaguar to be a masterpiece !
